In April, traffic from mobile drove the largest portion of visitors to eCommerce sites, at 76% – this is a 1% spike from March. In general, over the past twelve months, traffic from mobile made up 76.5% of overall visitors, with 22.42% coming from desktop, and 1.08% from tablet.
The biggest surge in MoM traffic came in April from Beauty & Personal Care, with 29.22% more visitors. In general, Fashion, Accessories, and Apparel saw the largest increase in traffic, at 0.58% while Pet Care & Veterinary Services saw the steepest decline at 0.011%.
Lastly, mobile drew the largest number of new users at 70%, and mobile generated the highest percentage of returning visitors, at 80%.
Major trends noticed:
Beauty & Personal Care — rose by 29.22% in device usage, from 164,853,399 in March to 221,272,237 in April.
Fashion, Accessories, and Apparel — fell by 14.19% in device usage, from 776,810,493 in March to 673,867,514 in April.
